Poppi: A Real Take on The Newly Trending Probiotic Soda!

I am hopping on the Poppi train! Poppi, the Prebiotic soda creates a healthier alternative to drinking soda. With so many fun and innovative flavors, Poppi could be a healthier replacement for regular soda.

Many people over the last few years have been becoming more conscious of what is in the food or beverage that is fueling their bodies. That said, many people are looking for healthier alternatives to their favorite snacks and beverages. But let’s be real, sometimes healthy alternatives don’t taste as good as the not so healthy product. I decided to make the switch, being an avid soda drinker myself, to Poppi. I love to indulge in my craving for soda almost every day, I thought it would be fun to try a healthier version and see if it can even compare.

Backstory On The Company

A couple from Dallas decided to experiment with various drink recipes using apple cider vinegar. The goal was to create s beverage with “no BS” as Poppi advertises.

  • No artificial sugar
  • 5 grams of sugar or less
  • 25 calories or less
  • Benefits of Prebiotics
  • “No fake stuff”-Poppi

Allison- one of the creators, was suffering from chronic illness and when she created and started drinking Poppi she found her symptoms started to go away. You can read more about Allison and her story on their main page, on the Poppi website

So The Real Question is… What is Poppi?

Straight from the Poppi creators themselves “Prebiotics are plant fibers that help the healthy bacteria grow in your gut. They are a type of carb that your body cannot digest, this means that it is sent to your lower digestive tract. By doing this, it will make your digestive system work better.”

Overall take- Can Poppi Compare To Soda?

The one downside to Poppi is that it sadly does not give me the beat of caffeine that soda gives. There’s a lack of caffeine in the product, so if you need caffeine, Poppi may not be your choice of beverage, this may not be for you. I find myself drinking way less coffee and or soda now that I started drinking Poppi, but I still find myself craving that need for caffeine.

But my overall take would be that the answer’s Yes. Yes, I would consider Poppi comparable to soda. The flavors are amazing, it has a great carbonation level that isn’t too overwhelming and it doesn’t upset my belly or make me bloated. Many carbonated beverages taste great but sadly are sugary, and can make me bloated. This just doesn’t do any of that.

Go pick up a can, Poppi would definitely be worth the try! It can defiantly be a better substitute and give you more health benefits than regular soda, and of course tastes good too!

Poppi is Vino Approved!
